    Anybody need one of these?

It was posted at the "what is this?" forum over at the AACA website. The fellow isn't sure what he has, evidently. Here's the message: http://forums.aaca.org/f170/1930s-gm-accessory-jack-313781.html

You can e-mail him by registering the AACA forum (which is as easy as joining the Hudson one).

Jon, this is the same as the jack in my original '37 Terraplane. The crank looks somewhat like this: _/--\__

Yup, it sure appears to be for a '37 Hudson or Terraplane and might possibly be right for earlier or later years. The fellow apparently doesn't have the handle/crank for it. But one could find a handle by looking around.

I bought my jack at Hershey maybe 20 years ago and (possibly the same day) found a similar handle for it in one of those "fifty cent piles" at Hershey. It works fine. Frankly though, when I jack up my Terraplane, I do NOT use this or any bumper jack, preferring the screw jack that I found in the trunk when I bought the car 40 years ago!
