Modified 47 Hudson Pickup - on eBay -
-
Posting this in Street Rods, as it is a modified.
I've seen this one many times, both on eBay and on the web. It had/has been offered for years. As I recall, the seller last wanted around $50K for it. Can't tell now, as it is a reserve auction...
Some nice lines, features - but a lot of stuff that aren't my 'cup of tea' (metal bed for one, dash for another).
It is registered as a'46, however has a '47 SN and grille piece. I have photos of the previous listing(s) around here somewhere which show the serial number plate. Seems that at the time the vehicle was registered, if it was sold in '46, it was a '46...

I too, would rather have seen an OAK or even a Walnut floor in the bed. Though there are several departures from stock, It is a Hot-Rod
and from the photos it looks to have been, Very Well.
If the HUDSON fairy left it, in my garage, I would Not shove it out!

Yep, same here, a nice 'rod'. There is always room for improvement or changes for personalization or 'taste' - and, as had been recently said, it is a 'good start'...BJ__TN wrote:I too, would rather have seen an OAK or even a Walnut floor in the bed. Kind of really falls down in that front bumper treatment the bumper does not have the mass to counterbalance what he has done under the grill. And yes the dash is awful. The stock dash is way classier with plenty of room for extra more functional guages.
Kind of the problem with amatuer rods they do not have a complete design that hangs together in its totality. When you look at a Foose creation you see all the attention to detail in the smallest place. Makes the over all vehicle special.www.hudsonmotorcar.org
