Starter woes
-
Replaced what I believe is a 51 Nash 6 in my 50 Nash. The flywheel is different than the one from the engine I removed. The ring gear is recessed about 1/2" where the one I removed is almost flush with the front. The starter will not work . Also, the one I pulled out has 5/8 screws whereas the one I put in has 3/8 studs, so I have to use the recessed flywheel. Can anyone Identify the motor with 3/8 studs on the crank so I know what kind of starter to get? Thanks, Jim
