Public Thanks To Russ Chilton
-
I just wanted to let everyone know how helpful and kind fellow forum member Russ Chilton was. As some of you know, I had been looking for a rear window seal for my 52 Hornet for a couple months to no avail. K-GAP is MIA, my internet search proved fruitless and I spoke to many helpful club members but I was still out of luck.
Russ had a new one that was awaiting his own restoration but he graciously offered it to me. This last item allowed me to get my rear window installed and actually be able to move the car from point A to point B without worrying about my brand new interior. It was a major relief and it was a very fine thing that Russ did. I'm still looking for one so I can replace Russ's. Once again, thanks Russ for helping me out! -
I did the same thing for another Hornet owner some years back. Had a spare set of rear window rubber for a coupe and sold it to a guy who couldn't get any from K-Gap. Has K-Gap been unable to offer it for almost two years? If that is how it is going to be, I guess I will be getting out of owning Hudsons soon.

I haven't been on the forum for the last week, or so. We've been really swamped getting the convertible out of the shop, so that we can expand. This thread was all ready back on page 3, and slipped out of my radar.
BUT, you are very welcome and I was glad I could help you complete the car.
P.S. (You still owe me some pics!) Unless, of course, they're in my e-mail, 'cause I haven't checked that yet, either.
