56 Hudson Hornet Continental kit question.

Does anyone have a schematic or pictures of how the mechanism works for latching and unlatching the tire works? Does anyone know of a 55-57 Hudson owner who has a car in northwestern Oregon I could go look at? I don't understand how the release mechanism is supposed to work.
