'54 308 Carter Carb fuel inlet thread pattern?
-
I think it is a WGD. I removed a 1/8 inch Nation Pipe Tap. Deeper into the fuel inlet bore the undisturbed threads look not tapered and more coarse than 1/8 NPT?
Anybody know what it should be. Thanks. -
All the Hudson carbs I've seen, from '36 on up, have had a 1/8 NPT in the bowl cover.
-
Might have been cross threaded in the pot metal. I will get the magnifing glass out and try a tap to clean it up.
-
All Carter Carbs are 1/8 NPT threads on the bowl cover, 1932 to 1954. You will have to find a new cover. Need tag number to get the correct bowl cover, or the number stamped on the base where the gasket goes. I may be able to help you. Walt.
