22 Essex Steering Wheel Removal
-
Guys, I am trying to remove the steering wheel to restore the wood rim. I have a snap-on old style puller which fits the wheel and column. I loosen the nut but don't remove it so the puller does not bugger up the threads and I have tightened down the puller with a cheater bar. It just will not break loose. Is it possible to apply a little heat to the wheel hub or will that screw it up.
