Hoping someone can help me out. I have the car above and am in need of a floor pan, either complete or in sections. I've gone to Mac's and they are telling me that the floor pan sections for a 57-58 Fairlane would fit my 59 Ford Custom 300. The parts they are giving me appear to be for the body style 57B.

Can anyone tell me for sure if they would work on my 59 or if another year/body style would work? For some reason, 59 body parts seem a little more difficult to come by, especially for the floor pan.

    Thanks,
    Jim.

The only difference between the 57/8 and 59 floorpans is the driveshaft tunnel is smaller on the 57/8 I believe. I had a 57-78A years ago and had to replace the front floor and got one out of a 59-57A fit perfect xcept my bodyman had to mate the two different driveshaft tunnels but it was no problem. Also when you're working up under the dash the reason the floors are rusted out of all the 57/8s is the cowl vent stops short of the cowl and they ran a hose off each side of it thru the cowl. This hose was like bicycle inner tubes so after a few years all the water that wint into the cowl vent ran out onto the front floors. Get some straight radiator hose, seems like it was 11/4" and some silicone and hose clamps and replace them and don't worry about them anymore!
