Comment on Kantor Interior kits
-
I recently ordered from Kantor a complete interior kit for my 54 Special Sedan. I don't know if others have experienced this but hopefully my comments will save someone some grief.
Carpeting - The carpet for the front was not wide enough. My installer had to get real creative to make it fit properly; heat and stretch the fabric and pad the curved areas over the transmission and where the floor pan meets the side of the frame. In addition, there was no material for the area between the side of the front seat and the doors.
Upholstery - The piece for the front seat does not include material for the back of the front seat nor the metal area on both ends of the front seat shell.
In both instances my car was hung up in the upholstery shop waiting for the additional material.
Hope this helps.

Carpeting: it sounds like you got a 48-53 carpet set. I have a kanter 54 set and it fit perfectly.
Seats: unfortunately what you got is what is available for Hudsons from any source, that is strictly seat covers. And by seat covers the industry only refers to the covering of the seating surface not the suppoting structure.
