route to the Biltmore Hotel
-
Arrived in the Oklahoma City area today using maps supplied by AAA. In route we programmed the TomTom GPS to the address give us by the hotel clerk which was(401 South Meridian) which dumped us on the east side of I35 before getting close to the downtown area. Low rent and did not look friendly to an Alabama redneck.
Got back on I35 headed south. Saw some downtown lites and tall building and got off the interstate. Found a Hampton Inn with lots of locals wandering around. The Hampton clerk was very helpful and supplied a map. In 10-15 minutes we were able to find the Biltmore, we also changed the address to 401 Meridian(left the south off) and the GPS responed correctly. The building is only 2 stories so dont expect a tall building, the rear of the building will be at least 4-500 yards from the front. Appears the HET's cars will be near the front, a vendor or two appear to be setting up in the rear under some trees. About 10-15 cars are here as of 10:30 PM. Thanks, drive safely, Bob Parks
