Someone hacked the hudsonclub.org website. For what reason I don't know...just to see if they could ? What benefit did they get out of it? Just irritating and annoying a few people?

You just answered your own question as to why they do it- To elicit a reaction like yours!

There are many who lean toward the theory that if vandals didn't get a front page story, with pictures, in the local paper the next day, they wouldn't go to the effort. Not sure if that's right, but worth considering.

I hear ya Mike I get where you're coming from. But the fact that someone's parents apparently didn't pay enough attention to them as children and they need to go out and get attention is no excuse for everyone else to have to put up with this stuff. What maddens me is most is people can't just have a hobby website and do their thing in peace without some SCHMUCK trying to mess it up for everyone. It's like the scum out there can't leave something alone. That applies both in cyberspace and in real life and it's just disgusting.

We need to pressure our elected officials that this is a crime and must be prosecuted.

Yes, looked like the same person who hacked 'classiccar.com' last week.

Too bad there isn't any REALLY effective law enforcement on this type of vandalism. The main thing that keeps these idiots going is that they KNOW they will not be caught, no less prosecuted.

In most cases, crimes like this aren't even reported - and YES, it is a crime.

WHO would it be reported to, and WHAT actions would they take, if ANYTHING was actually done???

WHOA!?!? I just had flashbacks of kids vandalizing my cars and property a few years back - NOTHING was done back then either...

In my experience that's because the police only ask 2 questions. 1. How bad was it? 2. Was anyone IMPORTANT with the ability to sue us if we do nothing hurt?

If you don't have a good answer for either of those 2 things the police will rarely help you. This is often true with thefts as well.
