will 46-49 carter fit 52 308?
-
does anyone know if the carter wdo carb 1946-1949 hudson application will fit a 52 308? looks like the mounting base is same, what about throttle linkage and performance on the larger engine? thanks
-
Yup, that's what mine had on it when I got it. Runs pretty good too.Six in a row makes it GO!
-
Guess that works out for me, I need a relatively lean carb since most of my driving is at 5000+ feet.Six in a row makes it GO!
-
thank you both for the info. sounds like i need to save myself some headaches and money and get the right one.

Carburetor you're looking for is WGD-776S - fits 1950-1952 all Hudson 6 exc Pacemaker & 8 Cyl. also fits 1953-54 Super Wasp & Hornet. That's for single - for Twin-H set up the carb is WA1-968S.

yes, the hunt is on for the wgd carb. some one put the smaller size one on my 308. it is frozen up and would need rebuilt anyway but i know now to not wast any time on it. i will just hunt for the right one.
