Hudson Convertible and Sedan at auction
-
Hopefully I didn't let the cat out of the bag for one of you guys, but there is a couple of nice cars at auction in Tulsa in a few weeks. Pretty sure it will be out of my league.

No Reserve! -
Could be wrong, but it seems as though this car has made some rounds, I remember a extremely similar-looking one for sale before. But, no matter.
I wonder how they got this information:
"#494 of 596 produced"
I didn't even get as far as looking at the interior yet. But hey, maybe the Olds dash was a very rare option in '49 . . . -
They have a 50 Olds conv listed and obviously they got the wrong picture.. but didn't use the Hudson interior shot on the Olds listing..The 494 is of course the prefix on all 49 commodore 8's. i asked about the serial number.. it may be the one I sold in 1976 to a fellow in Oklahoma.

I heard from the Auction Company and they are trying to locate the proper interior pics. Also the Vin or serial number is 49418012. The one I sold was 49458715.. But until i see the interior pics, I still wonder...Mine had a 46-47 engine when sold.. I'm sure that engine was replaced sometime over the last 35 years. If someone had a four door with a good title, engine and vin plate... Who knows..
I know that the pre stepdown 8 is a different block! You should have seen the brazing that was done to adapt a step down oil pan!
