Just bought a 1950 Nash statesman custom. The motor in it has a cracked block S350230. I also got 2 other motors with it. I'd like to make one out of the three. No. S22176 is the one I'd like to go with. It supposed to have only 30,000 miles on it. The last one I have is S83120 with a thrown rod. Going by the motors manual, it seems that the one in the car isn't the the original motor. Does someone have a rundown of these three motors, what ci. and year they are. Thanks, Jim

    1950 - 1951 are the same size - 184 C.I. Bore X Stroke 3 1/8 X 4 inches
    1952 - 1955 are the same size - 195.6 C.I. 3 1/8 X 4 1/4

It appears in the Motors Manual the Rambler started useing the same engine in 1953. Mine is a 1961 manual and the Rambler is still using the same size engine.

The only engine numbers I can find are
    1950 S92001
    1951 S207001

Measure how far down the piston goes and that will tell you if it is an early or later engine.
