1976 Lincoln Mark IV window wont go up

Hi, our 1976 Continental Mark IV passenger side window stopped going up. you can hear the motor running but you have to pull it up by hand.(It only goes down, wont come back up.)Does the motor need to be replaced, or did something get unhinged?thanks.
