'Nuther Hudson meet in Florida
-
In case someone is in Central Florida May 14th. We are having a Picnic/meet at Wickham park in Melbourne. Melbourne is about halfway between Miami and Jacksonville on I-95. We have invited the AMC people to participate and looks like it will be 50/50 Hudson AMC. This is our last meet until fall.. just too darned hot during the summer. More info at the Orange Bloosom Site
WWW.Orangeblossomhet.com.
PS
Wickham park has a first class Campground for campers of all sizes. -
Thanks Dave, maybe someday. Too much damage to consider now. Hope you have a good turnout. Drive safely, Bob

The meet was a success. Had about 14 cars. Almost even split Hudson/AMC.Ed Lathrop ,one of our OBC members had his son, Kevin, drive his Grandfather's 1 owner AMC Matadore. A very rare designer series.I got my 49 back from the body shop Wednesday morning and managed to get all the trim back on by Friday afternoon, soooo...it was there. First time out since last December!
Lots of food and car talk.I don't think anyone left mad or hungry ..LOL. If you missed it..too bad.. Maybe next year?? We are moveing it up to April in 2012. The Love Bugs are a real problem in May.! But not so much in April. The rains came after everyone was departing, all ended well.I didn't take the time to take any pics, but if anyone emails me some, i'll post them.

Now that the show is over--and we have no photo's, how do we get this off the top of the que?Brownie -
Hi Guys, I should have tought about it before. I rarely go in the US but last week we took a one week vacation in Florida at Disney. ( A 20 year old promise to my older son who has down syndrom and who worked very hard when he was young and he is now 28...). Maybe we could have met some of you guys from the area. This occured to me last friday the 14th when we were in Downtown Disney and it began to rain. We took the bus to return to our resort and at exactly 3:30 PM we saw a lot of old cars at the exit and suddenly, I see this Fabulous Hudson Hornet at the red light as we passed by. Just had the time to notice some trim missing in the front grill or bumper. I am quite sure it is somebody from the forum. But the bus passed so rapidly I did not have the time to pick my camera... I felt like the guy in American Graffiti who saw the girl in the T-Bird and could not do nothing about it...My regret was that if I knew, I would have begun my visit the other way... That's a lesson for me. If I ever go again in in the south or in the west, I will raise a flag... Michel.
P.S. By the way, 2-3-4 of june I will go in my first easter-regional ( Hudsons by the Hudson)with the Quebec-Nouvelle-France-Canada Chapter. -
I caught a little flack for not having any photos. (Hi Brownie)sorry.. I was just a bit "busy" I fianlly got the pics that were promised and here they are. This was a meet where we asked the AMC folks to join us.I got the idea from the Hudson/AMC folks down under. They not only did join us, they seemed to enjoy it and it's unanimous that we will do it again! Next year will be in April and hopefully no LOVE BUGS !!

G'Day Dave,
Glad you guys had a combined meet with the AMC boys, the guys in our club down under enjoy both worlds Hudson and AMC, if we have a long day run most go in AMC, as you know I still have our 1942 Hudson Two Door Brougham which we use mainly now for local runs and car shows,( have to keep the mileage down as much as I can) then a couple of years ago we bought a 1965 Rambler Classic sedan from the original owner for rallies and longer runs. Keep up the good work Dave.
