Does any one reproduce the reostat switch that controls the dash backlighting for the stepdowns? That's the small white twist knob that fits to the right of the steering column under the ignition switch. It was a question at the Western meet, and no one had a response. The Bells used to make 'em but that is no longer a consideration.

See 'HET parts vendor" thread below, they have them. They have the little plastic knob anyway...
Six in a row makes it GO!

I don't see that part, if you mean Eshelmans.

You should be able to get a rheostat at any electronics shop. (except Radio Shack, they have NEVER had ANYTHING that I wanted)

    Hey Ron,
I was thumbing through a Dennis Carpenter catalog and did see a rheostat type switch in it with various color knobs available. I know its a different 'brand' but hey worth a look!

Thanks, I got one this past week, I'll check out Carpenter though. I 'm curious to see if the mounting holes are the same.

Buba, saw the one you mentioned for a 40 Ford. Looks the same, except the Ford has three terminals vs the Hudsons two. I don't know if that is a problem. Could be for the radio dial, if the buyer ordered one. Has anyone tried the Ford switch?
