I started blasting this weekend (yesterday and today), but ran into humidity problems and had to quit with about 60% of the job done. Have to try again when the humidity goes down. It was disappointing not to finish the job, cause it's a huge mess! But, hopefully she'll be in primer before long.

Blasting usually produces more sins than blessings, particularly where metal is thin and weak, but I'm happy to say that so far, (knock on wood), I'm pleasantly surprised. The frame is as pristine as I thought it was, but about a dozen pinholes showed up in the top of the windshield header (common area, from what I've seen). Hopefully, that's gonna be about all of the "trouble" areas that the blasting will expose . . . we'll see.

sounds like you're having fun!!! LOL Sand blasting is one of those things that you have to get right the first time - you get it wrong and you end up doing more patching than you ever thought possible. :silly:

You'll get 'er done in time for Gettysburg, I'm sure.
