    I'm ready to post some pics, but it's been so long, I've apparently forgotten how. I've got them in MY PICS in MY GARAGE here on the forum, but can't remember how to get them into a thread.

    Help, please!

    You don't have to actually put them in "the garage" anymore. After you reply to topic there is a thing that says "add file". Choose that and select from pictures stored on your computer that are re-sized to small. After you choose the pictures you click "insert", so that the picture is opened in your post. Not just an attachement within your post.

    Atleast that's what I'm doing. Seems to work good.

    Thanks, Bent. I tried that and I got a screen that said, "Fatal Error . . .", blah, blah, blah . . . basically my pic was too big. I made a smaller pic and got the same message, so I made it as tiny as I possibly could and it said it was still too big and that I am most certainly a techno-retard. Seriously. It said that. Don't know what else to try. Should be a no-brainer, but not for TR's, apparently.

    Hit the "EDIT" button on one of your own posts & then the "ADD FILE" button (shows at the bottom of the post being edited. The forum program automatically resizes photos so attached . I use photos in the 'jpeg' format but the forum offers other suffix's also.

    Try it again with the pictures re-sized as "small". Just like you did before. This time when it says fatal error, ignore it and continue. See if it works.

    Ok, mine said "fakepath", not fatal error.
    And to follow what "essex28-1" said, I did not resize and it posted the picture just fine. As he said it would.:)

    No luck. And no "continue" button. Just the fatal error message.

    Lets see if the pics I sniped off your blog will come out. And they did.

    I held off on replying to this, as the 'old way' of posting is more cumbersome than it used to be in with the old forum.

    You can post pictures directly - icons above the text area, cursor your mouse through them until you see 'image link'. You will need to get/find the image link from the photos in your 'MyGarage' area, and paste them into the 'image link'.

    Not as simple as it sounds. I use two IE sessions, one for getting the image properties, the other for making my 'post'.

    IE Session #1
    - In the 'MyGarage' photo area, I view the photo I want to post (full size), right-click on it and select properties. From that screen, I copy the path information (up to the point where you see ".jpg", then ;

    IE Session #2
    - Paste that information into the 'image link' area (I ignore the 'size' area);

    And it works. It usually puts the photos at the top, so if you want to put any type of text in, you'll need to move them around a bit.

    As I said, not as simple or easy as it used to be...

    As an example, my 18x20 "tin garage" - installed last fall...

    What size should a picture be as sometimes it takes up the message space and other times it is added as an attachment? and I get a Fakepath message?

    Rick-

    Thank you very much. The problem is that there is no "Properties" to select once I right-click on the selected picture.

    Hi Russell,
    When I right-click on my picture, "Properties" is the bottom-most selection -

    When I open 'Properties', this is what I see, and you can see the address (URL) that I highlight to copy -

    That's not a hijack, glad to see your pics. I'm partial to step-down convertibles, anyway.
