Axles?
-
I'm trying to find out how far the bearing needs to go onto the axle. I pressed off the old ones and pressed on new bearings to match up (about) where I thought they should be. Little problem, when I put them back in I had way to much play and didn't use any shims. Press them on a little more until I have a little play? I looked through the 41 shop manual and cannot find any information. HELP!

You might want to mention the make, year and model of car.
(You've posted this in the "General" section of Classicar's forums; that's for all makes of cars.) -
Thanks for the feedback. It's a 41 Commodore 6 Sedan.
