50 Hudson on Ebay
-
I would have thought that by now someone here on the Forum would have noticed that one of my cars is on eBay. Anyway, I have the reserve set under 10 grand if anyone is intrested in getting in on the bidding.

That's a nice car, Brownie- as far as price, I think on today's market, the licence plate says it all- Be 8 or 9 K. But I hope you get your price.

Hello I checked out your Hudson on Ebay ,seems to be a nice car, what was the original color of it? I am in Pennsyvania, wish it was closer to see it . Thank you gdmn852

If you check the listing I have added a few photos of before it was painted. You can see from the photos that the car looked good in the paint that was on it. I think the car was light grey from the factory and was painted white sometime in the 70's. I first saw the car in 1976 and the white paint was what was on it.Brownie

In case anyone is watching my auction I just dropped the reserve to below $6,000.Brownie

Hi Brownie,
Yes, I did notice that. Unbelievable reserve for such a beautiful car, and I hope it goes for well above that number. Had I been looking now instead of last summer, this car would be in my garage a few weeks from now. I bought my '53 Hornet sedan last year complete with a rebuilt twin-H motor and 700R4 transmission, new interior, all chrome and paint. It's now feeling "too nice" for my pocketbook!
Best, Chris -
Hey Brownie,
Looks like it sold. Dont know if $7600.00 was as good as you hoped but congrats either way!

I expect that the new owner Dan Popp in Portage, Indiana got a good buy. I noticed that all the stepdowns do not meet "reserve" on ebay right now so I expect that the prices are a bit soft. I do not like to admit it but this was a nice car and perhaps that is all the market will accept today? I spoke with Dan for some time today and he is really excited. He is a car collector and explained that he has met some of the Hudson folks back that way and now that he has a drivable Hudson he is planning to join the National and Regional club. So, all you folks back there give him a shout and welcome him to the family.Brownie
