how to install these glass guides for hardtop car?

    I'm working on the Hollywood and I am baffled how these go back together; I think they go in the doors, but which direction (front or rear)?

    In the photo the one on the right is marked "R", but I don't know which direction and is it front of door glass or behind door glass??

    Thanks for all help.

    If you have some in-stall direction's or photos that would be great
