Hudson Hornet Cap from the 50's

Hi, a friend of mine in LA recently got this cap for me from someone who bought it in an estate sale. I now have it here at home and it is in fabulous condition for its age ( must be 53 or 54 considering the JET ). Has anyone else got or seen one of these before.
