Picture of timing chain
-
Anyone have a picture of what a properly installed timing chain looks like? I'm big on looking at pictures in the repair manual and there's not a picture in my repair manual that I can see of the timing chain. I'm particulary interested in what to look for when the timing marks are in the correct position.
Thanks,
Jason -
My 1961 Motors Manual has a very good picture of the 308 Hudson timing chain, gears, timing marks and the number of chain links for correct timing. And all other needed information to go along with the picture.

I just realized your avator is a picture of a Kaiser. Is that the car you are asking about? MY 61 manual does not have a Kaiser listed but my 52 Motors Manual has a picture of 1947 - 52 Kaiser timeing chain, gears with timing marks and the number of chain link pins from timing mark to timing mark.
Hope this helps. Lee -
Jason, if this question is about a Kaiser, did you realize that there is a Kaiser Forum here at Classiccar? You posted your message in the "General Forum" (for all makes of cars) so you might want to say exactly what make and year of car you're asking about.
