Lord in heaven - and to think that back in the 60's I saw more than a few of these in junk yards!!!!

I think I'll just go shoot myself for not buying a few. :silly:

The seller either forgot to take his meds :woohoo: or is simply trying to price the car in line with the burgeoning US debt of $14,000,000,000,000

How about priced not to sell? Often when someone asks me: "How much do you want for that car?" Rather than saying that it is not for sale I will double the price from what I think it is worth just so they will quit 'bugging' me. I get tired of all the people who ask me "What is it worth." When I make a dumb statement like: "For whatever you are willing to pay?" they just ask again.

If I give them a realistic price they often want to argue with me. I was at the gas station last week filling up the 1950 sedan and someone asked me the question. I said that several were on eBay in the same condition and they are not selling for around 5 grand (that is an actural price in the market today)the gentleman returned with Will you take 10 grand for the car? I said yes and he walked away.

Perhaps the comment "How much is it worth" is like saying "I like your car and how are you today?"

In the case of this little Chevy--the owner/seller is just messing with our minds. Or, just plain uninformed....

And the trouble with those "time capsule" cars, is that you can't do anything with them- because all of the value is in the low mileage and great condition, so they're just museum pieces. I like to take the ole gal out and drive around a little, once in awhile. . .
