Pacemaker began in '50, Todd. '48 came in two trim levels... the base model Super and the more deluxe Commodore. Both trim levels were available with a 6 or an 8, but the Super 8 is extremely rare. Give us the first three numbers of the VIN stamped on the plate riveted to the passenger front hinge post and we can verify what you've got. Whereabouts in northern Minnesota are you located?

Save all the Engines, Trannys Brake drums and Rear ends. People need these. Also the steering box and the front fenders on the Pacemaker (Short wheelbase) are unique and getting scarce.

How are the frame rails and the outer hoops where the rear quaters bolt to (lower)? I am in the process of making replacement pieces. If the 48 or 52 has some good unibody sections it may save me some time.

The 48 may be another year, that's just what a guy told me,but it definitely says pacemaker on the glove box door, I'd post some pics, but they are under about 4 feet of snow, I may be able to get the vins and post them. both are 6 cylinder auto's with overdrives (I sold the overdrive parts from one, the other is still there minus the firewall relay..not positive on frame rails and rust, but I do remember being surprised how solid the bottoms looked when I had them half off my truck..right now I can get under the hoods and into the interiors, but getting under them will have to wait till spring. my zip is 55775 I'm near Pengilly mn about 70 miles N of Duluth

    As Garrison Keillor says,

'Does this bus go to Duluth?'
'No, this bus goes beep beep'

I would be interested in parts from the wasp. looking for passanger front 1/4, front door, & rear 1/4. I have all 3 pieces but they are damaged. I am also looking for the drivers side part that sits below the front 1/4 behind the bumper as well as a couple of stainlees trim pieces.

:) Hi Todd, On the '37 Terraplane, I would like the throtle linkage grom the accelerator to the carburator, including the horizontal rod {bar} that goes behind the engine on the lower firewall. The gas pedal linkage hooks to it and the rod will pivot operating the carburator linkage. If that is still available, please let me know. No Hurry. I can waite untill spring and the weather warms up and there is no more of that white stuff. It is aroud 37 degrees outside now and I am sure that is warmer than where you are located. Please email me at: hud50cpe@charter.net
    Thanks, Arnie
