37 air cleaner question
-
Hey All..
I have been parting out a 37 Terraplane and finally got around to the oil bath air cleaner.
Can someone tell me what the bottom section of the air cleaner's purpose

is??
It is the section that bolts to the carb below the cleaners oil reservoir.
It has a tube clamp on the bottom and a 1/4" threaded hole on the side.
I've seen a lot of oil bath cleaners, but never one like this..

I believe that's the vacuum inlet for the line that powers the Electric Hand.
-
Jon is correct, I have the same on my car which has the vacumatic clutch.
-
Yup. Hard to stump Jon. I have one I took off the 39 CC I just scrapped out that had an electric hand.
-
Thanks Guys.. I've parted out around a gazillion cars, but I still get stumped from time to time..
