Exhaust valve adjustment
-
 I have been reading a lot on valve adjustment. I need to adjust the valves on my '49 Super "6". However all I have read is setting the intakes. what is the poper way to do the exhaust valves, will they be on the same pattern as the firing order? 1-5-3-6-2-4? Just turn the engine over once or twice after the compression stroke? Thanks in advance. Arnie in Nevada.

Yeah Arnie, you do the exhausts the same way as the intakes, just use the right feeler guage and make sure the lifter is on the base circle of the cam, 180 deg from the lobe.
