Did you notice it has two batterys?
-
Looks to be 6V and 12V Optimas. Thats one way to do it I suppose. Gotta give everything the same ground though.Six in a row makes it GO!
-
 Is that a glass brake fluid container on the firewall?:S

I was wondering that too. Could it be a Marvel Mysyery Oil injector? Also noticed it had an aftermarket vacuum canister, but no power brakes... great idea when it's raining!

Vic... Yes that is an aftermarket brake fluid container. The fluid is fed to the under floor master cylinder via a hose connected to a replacement lid that was part of this accessory.
-
I would say, 6 volts to run car and 12 volts for starter. Walt.
-
Anyone out there see any 8 volt battery's out there? Can you find a battery charger for them?Brownie
-
Don't know if they are still out there or not. I had one in my 1941 Chris Craft years ago, I used a 6 volt battery charger on it.
-
Last time I was at the Farm & Home they had 8 -volt tractor batteries. Ant as far as charging them an old fashioned 6 -volt charger should . A modern electronic one probably would not know what to do. I have an old gas station gharger (Phillips 66) and it has setings for 12 or 6-8 volt,
