What part of the country are you (or the car) located in?

the car and i are in upstate ny, i understand that if parts can be found i would have shipping charges. or if in neighboring states i would pick them up.

One good source for finding antique car parts is Hemmings Motor News (which you can find online at www.Hemmings.com. You might try there. Ebay isn't a bad place to look, as well, and you might even try your local Craigslist.
If you intend to hold onto this car, you might want to consider joining a club devoted to that make, such as the Pontiac-Oakland Club International http://www.poci.org/ . You are probably apt to find more in the way of parts (especially hard to find ones) and technical information there, than anywhere else. Plus, you may discover (when reading the club's roster) that someone with a similar car to yours, lives nearby. This will be helpful if you need to verify various things on their car to help in your restoration.
