I have a 69 BBO 390, 4-speed, has the roof spoiler. Whats the difference between a Go-Pacv and Mod Pack.
Thanks -

Does the BBO stand for Big Bad Orange? Besides the three Big Bad colors Green, Orange and Blue, the bumpers were painted body color. The Big Bad package inclueded heavy duty cooling, suspension; limited slip differential; power front disc brakes.
I've not heard of Mod Pack. That may be a reference to "the optional dealer-installed high-performance parts(cams and kits, intake manifolds and carburetors coupled with other Group 19 items) for customizing your Javelin or AMX for fun and performance." Quote from AMAZING AMC MUSCLE by Edrie J. Marquez.
In 1980 I bought my 69 Big Bad Green AMX, automatic, from my Uncle Rex who purchased it new.
I can't remember when the last time I saw a Javelin around here. There are several AMXs running around here. Even a couple of BBG ones. But they both have black stripes and mine has white stripes.
How about telling more about your Javelin and post some pictures.

Hey, Guys.
This is Todd Ruel with Gone Autos. My web site (www.goneautos.com) is devoted to orphan cars, and there's a huge hole in my heart if I don't think about AMC at least once a day. Love that company.
In fact, I modeled the colors of my web site after the Big Bad colors. At one point, I was researching the RGB (Red/Green/Blue) color values of those colors so that I could duplicate them on the web. I'd like to share those colors with you.
Big Bad Blue: R=16, G=162, B=222 (hexadecimal value=10a2de)
Big Bad Orange: R=226, G=65, B=16 (hexidecimal value=e24110)
Big Bad Green: R=101, G=173, B=63 (hexadecimal value=65ad3f)
These colors are useful if you're working on the web or in print. (Sorry, guys. I'm not much of a car restorer, but I'm good working in the print and web worlds.)
How do I know these colors are correct? We scanned an original 1969 chip chart with a color-accurate device to obtain the values.
I know this is coming kinda out of left field, but if this helps one AMC Javelin or AMX or Rebel Machine fan show his true colors, then my work is done.
Enjoy! (And visit the web site - www.goneautos.com - to see the colors in action.)
