Essex Spare Tire Mount
-
Any one have a picture of what the fender mount spare tire attachment looks like on a 30 Essex or similar model? I mean the top part that attaches to the cowl and holds the top of the tire. I need to fabricate something for my spare as I've haven't found an original piece up to this point. 1/2" threaded rod fits right in the hole in the cowl but I need to know what held the tire. A fitting with a strap I suppose.

Have you contacted Carl Weber in Mass. regarding this? He buys and sells a lot of parts for the older Hudsons and has several himself. His contact information is in the H-E-T roster.

I have a '30 Essex sedan with the sidemount. I don't have a picture handy and it's pretty cold out here - winter just blew in yesterday. I'll see if I can take a picture in the next few days.

Best I can do with pics I have. If you need more with like a ruler for scale
let me know.
