My headlights have been blinking intermittently, at about 30-45 second intervals, accompanied by a click under the dash. I can only assume it is the headlight circuit breaker blowing and then resetting.

I'm wondering if I have some sort of a short in the system? I noted that the condition persists whether on high or low beams, so if a short exists, it would have to be between the headlight switch and the floor dimmer switch.

Has anyone had problems with these C.B.'s malfunctioning? Anyone know where I could get a replacement?

UPDATE.... Well, I discovered the problem. As usually, it was a case of "fix-one-thing .. break another"
During my A/C installation, I had apparently crushed the wire going to the little light in the emblem on the front bumper, and it had shorted out.

I rarely drive the car at night, so the problem didn't pop up until last week coming up late. Yes, it WAS the "auxiliary" circuit breaker popping and resetting, not the headlight one.

Unfortunately, I didn't track it down until it had fried that wire, all the way through the (almost new) harness. Now I have to unwrap the entire harness, make sure there is no other damage, replace the offending wire, and rewrap the harness, all while hanging upside down underneath the dash. (sigh..)
