Can sommeone tell me how to remove an avatar picture? I took a full picture and entered it, then the picture was cut in half. We can't get rid of it & try a new one.
-
I finally realized that the picture that I used is too large.I needed to use a standard camera size, not one from a Hemmings cover picture. Still, how can someone remove a avatar and not replace it?
-
I dunno, Ron... I think you should leave that picture right where it is!Workin Stiff
-
I will, but I got that to work after a hour of trying to dump the picture of half 'a car and sending the first thread. I used a different photo taken with my wifes' digital camera.

avatar test!
It worked!1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H
Custom front springs, drop-blocks out back, Clifford 6-2 headers exiting out back shotgun style, Pertronix, and Flames!
1964 Chevy C-10 Longbed, 396/TH400 lowered just enough and \"easy to touch up\" Black paint.
2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
Caved in quarter and fender. Bad paint. Non-True-Trac heap. But it's paid for. -
I'm still waiting to see some step by step instructions on how to establish an Avatar, and now, how to unsubscribe to a topic. -
PARK,
So am I. It's been so long since I posted my avatar, I've forgotten how to do it.
Bob -
Bob, I accidentally stumbled across how to take care of both issues, so I'm in business (except that I got notified today of a thread I'd subscribed to, except that I hadn't. Went to unsubscribe, and it didn't show me as having been subscribed. Growing pains for the new system I suppose.

To unsubscribe a post, scroll down to the bottom where it says unsubscribe. Click on it and no more posts in emails from that thread. It seems that you have to click on unsubscribe whenever you make a post otherwise you are automaticly suscribed. You have to find where all the emails were posted and unsubscribe each one. I also went through all the threads to find any subscribed posts to unsubscribe them so no emails would appear when someone made a post on that thread.
Just remember whenerver you post, UNSUBSCRIBE IT, before leaving to go somewhere else because when you post you automaticly subscribed to that thread.
I give Kevin C. credit for telling me about the above tip. It works, no more posts in my mail box.
Can't help with the Avatar. That's something else I need to learn about.
Good luck, Lee O'Dell -
Park, As you can see I also finally got it took care of. Haven't heard anything about being subscribed or unsubscribed as of yet. I can understand they are having some growing pains so I can put up with small details as long as I can read the posts and reply when necessary.
Hope to see You at PF this month.
Bob
