Well i have recently bought a 1964 Ford Ranchero and i can't seem to find a gas tank that will fit it on any restoration website or after market website or catalogue. All of these say it will fit all models except ranchero so if anyone knows where i could find a gas tank for this style of truck please message me or reply to this topic. Thanks!

Is your tank leaking or do you just not have one? I ask because basicly any tank could be fixed . I may also point out the differance between your application
and say a wagon. Might just be the fill tube , and it could be moved. Or a rubber hose used in its place.

Joining a Ford Club would be a good source for information that may led to a tank.
Wrecking yards would be another source for the tank you are looking for.

There is a Cars & Parts Magazine titled:
    American Salvage Yard Treasures
    Published by Amos Press Inc.

This magazine is a guide to America's salvage yards, with old cars, across the nation and their locations.

    Good luck, Lee O'Dell

The car has a gas tank but it has holes in it that were patched before and just looks like it isn't worth trying to fix. Thank you for the information Lee. I have not tried to use this gas tank for running the car since we did not know if the fuel lines would work or not so we took it off and found many holes. This car does not have working brakes yet so i have not driven it.
