All Prince of Monaco (63) Vinyl Top question

I am looking at buying a 63 t-bird that has a Prince of Monano plaque on the consol. However it is not a vinyl top. Did someone just stick the plaque on the consol or were some made with a hardtop and no vinyl. T-Bird emblem located behind rear window. What is going on? :confused:
