i'm taking a hudson staycation
-
i am on the second day of my vacation and am having a hudson themed staycation. yesterday i took my 53 for it's first drive up the block! i also checked out all three of the old hudon dealership locations here in springfield, mo. instead of doing everything else, i'm finally going to have a couple of weeks of doing what i want to.

That's a great idea! Are you taking pics of the buildings where the dealerships used to reside? That would be cool to post here for everyone to see. Also be a good idea to get a pic of your car in front of the building and then find some older pics of the dealerships when they were still open. Have a great vacation, and thanks for sharing!

Sarah Young and Sheldon Rody might like to have the addresses of those old Hudson dealerships; Sarah for her great website and Sheldon for the world wide dealers listing.
As Russell says, pictures, pictures, pictures.

i bought the world wide listing last week and that's where i got 3 of the addresses. i have taken pictures of them all. one has a movie theater on the sight, one has a govt building, one is a old overland car dealership that must have sold hudsons at one point. the overland building is pretty cool, i've been in it before.
i have a lead on another dealership location i will be following up on that wasn't in the book. yesterday was the first day i drove the 53 hornet since i put the engine in it, well, since i bought it over a year ago. i don't think it's ready to make a treck across town yet, but sometime it will. -
Found this on the web. Real interesting as it shows both 20's & 50's HET cars at
Specker Motor Sales of Marquette MI.
Photo should be on Sheldon's original thread re dealerships, biut I can't find it!!
I've got a larger file if anyone wants a bigger version.
