Need help finding a part for a '64 Impala SS
-
Hello,
My boyfriend has a 1964 Impala SS and is in the process of rebuilding it. He is busy working so he has asked me to search around online for the parts he needs. (so excuse my lack of know-how on the subject of cars, I'm just trying to help out if possible) the hardest thing to find seems to be the rear seat, or even a rear seat frame. I've been unable to find anything that matches exactly, either new or old. I have found many other types of car rear seats from years close to 1964, however I am not sure if they will fit because they are from different models.
My question is if anyone knows of any other kinds that will also work for this particular car? For example I have found a nice 1962 rear seat, but for a Biscayne, and also some bench seats however they are from pick-up trucks around the same time period. Are these basically interchangeable, or would we need to find an exact match?
Also, any websites that you know of to maybe search for these things would be greatly appreciated. I have checked Craigslist for all our surrounding areas with not much luck, as well as some websites made specifically for Impalas, which seem to only have front seats/bucket seats.
Thank you so much for your patience, and for the time taken to read this
any info or advice would be very helpful. Have a great weekend

Try the guys at chevytalk.com
They will know what fits and you may even find someone that has something you can use.
Good luck in your search and I think it's great that you are helping your boyfriend on his project.

Thanks for the help, I will check out that website a.s.a.p.
I've seen this car go through a lot of changes so it's exciting to see how it turns out. -
When I was young, I had a 64 Impala convertible.
Wish I had it now.
