Geoff, Hope everyone's alright down under
-
Heard there was a bad earthquake in New Zealand today. Hope Geoff and all our Hudson family down there are OK, and have no property damage.
-
Haven't been able to contact any of our Christchurch members, but most of the damage was to inner city old brick buildings and to the water and sewerage systems, roads, etc. We escaped completely where we are. Thanks for your concern. If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

It was quite a shake - woke us up at 4.35am and hard to stay on our feet. Damage mainly to old unreinforced brick buildings, lots of them in the city centre. No-one too badly hurt. A few squashed cars crushed by falling masonry off parapets, building frontages and verandahs.

Glad it didn't happen when people were driving to work. -
Glad to hear so far that no one was hurt in this quake, sounds like we are lucky that we live down under where we dont suffer such things as this, must be a terrible experience.

Hmmm,Black Saturday bushfires driving the tiger snakes across our front lawn wasnt fun!Australia can be cruel when it wants to be. Now we have floods in Ballarat.
