My Newest Non-Hudson Acquision
-
Haven't found any suitable Hudson purchases lately so I have found it necessary to expand my searches for collector vehicles. This is a 1946 Willys CJ2A.... alot of fun to drive. Original drivetrain and stock vehicle. A blazing 60 horse power!

Them's cool tools!!!! I had a '47 Willys pickup truck - it damned near killed me afore I could kill it!!!! Go anywhere - do anything and fun in the process.
Would beat you to death on the open road and 50 (level road - 65 downhill) was about the best you could do with it.

I learned to drive and took my drivers licence test (in December with no top) in one of these things. Being out west we all had one that we used to looked for deer, elk, bear and things in. We called ours "Blood and Guts." Boy, do I have memories of these... First date and all.....Brownie

This is a very nice Willys. I will take the opportunity to show you mine. I have this 1957 Willys Station-Wagon 4X4 with the original winch driven by P.T.O.
Bought it in 1999 and has not been plated yet... I drove a 62 from 1996 to 1998 during two winters in Montreal and it was great. Minus 35 and would start on the first try. Had 2 heaters, the original for the windshield and a jobber for the feet. In two years of service I spent only $60.00 and just put gas and changed oil. First time I saw one was in the film "It's a mad, mad, mad world". I have a 2010 Patriot and I recognise the ancestor in it...Would like vey much to get a 48 to 50 Jeepster. Since the restoration of my 54 Hudson has not begun yet...Have a good day guys. 002-600_128352490656242.jpg)

Nice Jeeps! My Dad and I's friend has a 46 Willys. He only has use of his right arm, and it's not 100% at that, but he doesn't let that stop him. Nothing's like hauling ass up a mountain road with a one armed man driving a stick.
Oh, and he hauls his 28' fifth-wheel and mid-70's 19' tri-hull boat in one big road-train behind his truck. Six in a row makes it GO! -
I like those Willys wagons and trucks aswell. I just bought a second '46 Willys Jeep yesterday... located in Michigan... fully restored. Am getting bids on shipping to So Cal.
Not too many good deals on interesting Hudsons right now....slow! -
Wow! Another Willys, and fully restored. Hope we will be able to get pics of it too! Seems you have more place than me to store them. I have to rent the garages to put my 54H 53H and 57 W. And one of the garages is 150 km away. It doesn't help to complete a restoration. Sometimes I wonder if I was too fast to buy the Hudsons. I will have to make a decision. I sell them all , stay in the club and wait a few years or I go with my all-time dream and restore that 54. Since that 54 is originaly a California car, it is rock solid. No floors to repair, just one hole in the back of the left fender. I am still studying how to put pictures on my profile. Well, as they say, easy does it... Michel.

I bought this second one with the intent of selling it so shouldn't take up too much room for very long.
Like you, I have also found that buying too many Hudsons too fast, limits your resources. I had ended up with projects starting to deteriorate and that doesn't help anyone. Consequently, I thinned out the herd to be manageable.
