Steering gear for Pacemaker
-
Need an NOS or very good steering shaft ("column tube") and worm assy for the Pacemaker and later short-wheelbase cars. Part #303633. It's going to a friend in europe, so don't want a heavy complete steering gear assembly. Must have the worm gear in good condition ... not scarred or pitted. If you're willing to pull one from a complete assy, he would likely pay a bit extra for that work if it yields a good part.
-
Nobody's got one of these steering shaft/worm assemblies? C'mon ... Have a complete unit you can remove the shaft and worm from? I expect the gent who needs it might be willing to pay what you'd charge for the complete steering box assy.

I tried to help a guy in europe get a complete steer gear once. Maybe it's the same guy. I pulled it out of my parts car and express shipped it to him and didn't have time to completely pull it apart so when he got it there in europe and got it all apart turned out to be scarred. I guess from what I hear good ones that aren't in that condition are hard to come by for the short wheelbase step-downs. I'd help if I had one....try John O' Halloran he might have one lying around.

I've got one I liberated from a 54 Super Wasp HETcramerlp@roadrunner.com

Aaron, yes it is indeed for Michael. Too bad that one turned out to be bad, and it was kind of you to give him a refund. He was very appreciative.
"Josh," I'll be in touch ASAP.
