Local Show
-
There was a small car show in town this morning. There were two Hudsons; me and Norman Jacks. Normans Jet was beautifully turned out. I emptied my ashtrays and scraped off the bird doo.
I heard the story about a Hudson dealer in Matthews VA again today. The man is supposed to have 3 step-downs in front of his Texaco station and a dozen or so out back. I have to drive out there soon and check it out.

Always great to see Hudsons at a car show. You just don't see them as often in multi-make events like this one looks to be. Thanks for sharing some great photos! What's the name of this car show? Is that Norman standing by the Jet or you?Take a Ride in a Hudson Jet!

Sarah,
That's Norman Jacks with his car. This was certainly an all-makes show, sponsored by the local Advance auto parts. I don't remember the event name, and can't find the flyer now. There was no registration or judging; you just showed up and socialized with the others. It was fun.

What's life without a Hudson? -
All,
I referenced my 2010 roster this morning and found a member in a small town near Matthews VA with 29 Hudsons listed. The name matches one suggested by another member. I'll try to arrange a visit to take pictures.

The jet so shiney, its looks well waxed up and the darker the color the more shine it seems to have

Be nice for you to check out this guy. I once found 14 Hudsons in a Farmers pasture and bought two Hornet coupes so these things can happen. Please let us know what you find! -
I forgot to mention, if you want to see more pictures of this Jet, including interior shots, you can click here Norman's JetTake a Ride in a Hudson Jet!
