Wanting to put a 37T motor into my 36T,better porting, more horsepower etc,and do a diff conversion, the original diff is a 4.5,great for climbing trees, but horrible on the highway.People have suggested i convert it to Ford (3.5?)as the stud pattern is the same.Anyone out there messed around with this? any other tips on hotting up an original motor appreciated also, just dont tell all the old blokes in my club, they already think poorly of me as im under 40!

Putting a Ford rear end to the change gear rations is done alot on many Hudson models. I plan to make the same change in my 47 Hudson PU.
There are many previous post covering this very subject with positive results.

Have a good day. Lee
By the way, nothing wrong with being under 40. I'd love to be way back there again. On second thought, I'll stay where I'm at. Love the grand son.
