'53 Pontiac steering wheel assembly
-
Can anyone copy me the page from a 1953 Pontiac assembly manual that shows the small parts under the Pontiac emblem on the steering wheel?
I've assembled it wrong, or I'm missing something, since the horn ring "wobbles", causing the horn to honk erratically.
Thanks in advance!
Matt
P.S. Even a digi-pic of the hub with the Pontiac emblem removed would help!

Not specific to your horn , but ALL horns will have a coil spring or some sort of spring or rubber spring in them to keep the ring/button from wobbling and or making contact . I've had to make something to work a number of times . Sometimes nothing more than some foam rubber about the right stiffness . You should be able to look at your parts and determine what will work for you . Since it's not seen it does not have to be the original part . Hope this helps .

Good tip! It worked.
Thanks again,
