I can't seem to find the specs on the Hudson 212's torque output.
I'm trying to compare it to the Jet 202. Got the HP and the jet has 2 more HP and 158 lbs of torque @ 1400 RPS
Of course the 202 is moving a lighter car than a '40's Hudson but I wanted to see how it stacked up. Does anyone know ? -

This is from the December 1982 issue of Special Interest Autos, in an article on a 1946 Hudson Super Six convertible:
Max torque @ rpm: 168 @ 1200 with standard accessories.
I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but hopefully it helps.

So 212 168 @ 1200 RPM
202 158 @ 1400 RPM -

It would also be relevant to check the compression ratios, as with the higher ratios the torque would increase significantly. The 202 probably used a higher standard ratio than the earlier 212's at least which were only around 6.0:1. -

Correct. The standard C.R. for the 202 was 7.5:1 standard iron head, or 8:1 with alloy head. The latter increased the torque to 168@ 1800 r.p.m. This was also the highest C.R. of any stock Hudson engine.If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging. -

The CR of the 112 head from 38-39 is 6.5:1, the CR of the Traveler head from 40-41 is 7.0:1 and from 42 is 7.25:1. These 3 heads were used on the 175 ci motors and can be used on the 212 from 37-47.
The number 112 is cast into the head. Likewise, the 7.0:1 and 7.25:1 is cast into the Traveler head
