Fairlane seat covers
-
Hi guys. I am new to this forum. I will soon have a 1964 Ford Fairlane 2 door sitting in my garage and I will launch into a restore with much gusto. It is the same model that the Thunderbolt was created from, the "pillared sedan" I believe it is called.
One question I have though is where is the best source for replacement seat covers? I know Dearborn Classic sells them but does anybody have any experience with the quality from there?
Everything else on the car is fine. It belonged to my mother and grandmother before her so it is completely original. 70K original miles.
Thanks for any info, Donald. -
Look up SMS Fabrics.
They seem to make the best fitting and looking covers.
I bought an interior set for my seat and only have done the drivers bucket seat. Nobody can tell that it's not original.

Yes they are. Most of the time the car sits out in the sun. Some of them have the windows left open or broken. And the seats take the abuse.
You will also need to replace the foam and possibly repair the springs.
