1954 Pontiac
-
I was just left a 54 Pontiac by a family member who didn't take much care of it. My question is . This car , as you can see on the tag in the picture, is a 5430 body. I am trying to find out as much info as I can about this car and have been told that 5430 is not a pontiac body number. Does anyone have info for me?
Thank You

The body no is just that, its the 5430 th body down the line at that plant for 1954. The model no is the line above, it's a 54 model 28. 2869 is the style no. the 69 being the body style. They had model 25[ Chieftan 6] model 27 [Chieftan 8] and model 28 [Star Chief] in 1954. Yours is obviously a Star Chief.
