1928 Hudson & Essex "Flying Men - Icarus"
-
Some time ago I saw a writeup / article about the radiator caps for the 1928 Hudson & Essex. In the article it mentioned the reasons why the two types were chosen and I think the planning / design.
Just wondering if someone can point me in the direction where I can get a copy. I have had a search on the net but someone may have some useful info that maybe could be scanned and emailed to me?
It is for my brother-in-law's father who has just completed a beautiful wooden model of a 1928 Essex. It is just over a foot long and he made it working from photos I sent him of my car. I went down to his place today and collected it and it just looks great. I will post a photo soon.
Thanks
Alistair

Alistair,
Have not seen the article, however, a not too recent post went over this data in some detail. Check it out on our Forum at:

Perhaps someone else might have a copy of the article as well.....Brownie -

Thanks for that Brownie. There is good stuff in that post but not what I remember reading. I will continue to hunt!

From Walt Harris book. I disagree with his dating - Icarus was a '28 only mascot.
