Disconnect the battery first. Then remove chrome ring froma around the ignition on the front of the dash. I think a special tool exists for this but I just usually use a screw driver and a hammer to tap the ring counter clockwise to loosen and then turn off by hand. THe assembly will come out the back and then you can get to the wires you have to disconnect. Remember to lable them.
