1957 F100 engine/trans questions
-
I have a friend that just bought a 57 F100 for his son. It has a 223 with 3spd. manual- engine is torn down & missing many parts. He is looking to install a more modern engine - possibly a 300 6cyl. Will the original 3 speed mount up to a 300? Did they change the block during the run of the 300 so certian years would work & others not? Thanks for the help.

What year is the 300? There are online interchanges available.
